The Jordan Anti-Doping Organization (JADO) has signed a joint cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Anti-Doping Agency (KADA) in Amman, Jordan, on May 17, 2025. The agreement was signed by Prof. Kamal Al-Hadidi, President of JADO and the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization, and Prof. Yang Joon-Young, President of KADA. The signing ceremony was also attended by Ms. Seo Min-Jeon, representing the Korean Anti-Doping Agency.
The MOU comes as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and exchange expertise between the two organizations, particularly following the participation of several Jordanian physicians in the “Therapeutic Use Exemption” course held in Korea in 2023. Additionally, Ms. Kefah Taha, Head of the Scientific Department at JADO for one month training program organized by KADA in 2024.
The MOU aims to develop capacities and build competencies in the field of anti-doping through knowledge sharing and the implementation of joint training programs that enhance the qualifications of professionals working in this filed.
Prof. Kamal Al-Hadidi expressed his pride in this partnership, emphasizing that the MOU represents a strategic step in strengthening Jordan’s efforts in combating doping and in supporting the region more broadly. He also highlighted that JADO had hosted a delegation from KADA to conduct a regional training program in the field of education, which included representatives from neighboring countries—reflecting both parties’ commitment to expanding regional cooperation and promoting joint action.
Prof. Al-Hadidi further stressed the importance of building such partnerships, as they play a central role in supporting national and international efforts in the doping control. He noted that the MOU extends through 2028, giving it a long-term strategic dimension in the development of the anti-doping sector in Jordan and the region.
