Jordan Hosts West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Training Workshop on Education

As part of efforts to strengthen regional and international collaboration in the field of anti-doping, the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (WARADO), in parallel with the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization (JADO) and the Korea Anti-Doping Agency (KADA), organized a regional training workshop on the International Standard for Education. The workshop took place in Amman, Jordan, from May 16 to 17, 2025, on the sidelines of WARADO’s annual meeting.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Kamal Al-Hadidi, President of both JADO and WARADO, who emphasized in his opening remarks the importance of promoting international and regional cooperation in the doping control. He commended the role of such partnerships in supporting member countries to develop effective educational and awareness programs that respond to the growing challenges in this field.

The event witnessed the participation of representatives from national anti-doping organizations across the region, including (Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Bahrain). This regional engagement aimed to promote the exchange of expertise and strengthen capacities in the field of doping control education and awareness.

A specialized team from the Korea Anti-Doping Agency delivered a series of interactive sessions highlighting KADA’s successful experiences, future plans, and the challenges they face in implementing education and awareness programs. The sessions focused on enhancing participants’ skills in designing and delivering educational sessions, implementing outreach programs, and benefit modern educational tools and materials to support national and regional doping control efforts.

This training workshop marked an important milestone in a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing educational capacities across the region and building a strong network of cooperation among anti-doping organizations committed to ensuring a clean and safe sporting environment.
