A training course was held in Amman by the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization, in cooperation with the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization, aimed at training and accrediting Doping Control Officers from the Syrian Arab Republic.
The course was conducted as part of the training program of the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization for countries in the region, within the framework of the Capacity Building Program, with the objective of enabling national organizations to implement the provisions of the World Anti-Doping Code and comply with the approved International Standards.
The three-day course, held from December 21 to 23, 2025, covered the theoretical and practical aspects associated with Doping Control procedures and Sample Collection in accordance with the International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI), to ensure integrity and transparency for all athletes.
The course was presented by:
• Professor Dr. Kamal Al-Hadidi, President of the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization and President of the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization.
• Professor Dr. Walid Al-Rahahleh, a lecturer accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
• Professor Dr. Abdul Qader Battah, Professor of Toxicology at the University of Jordan.
The practical component of the course, including a detailed explanation of doping control procedures, was presented by the Secretary General of the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization, the Head of the Education Department at the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization, Ms. Seena Hatuqay; the Head of the Scientific Department at the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization, Ms. Kifah Taha; and the Head of the Testing and Investigations Department at the organization, Mr. Yazan Munther.
At the conclusion of the course, participants from the Syrian delegation were awarded certificates accredited by both the Jordan Anti-Doping Organization and the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization, enabling them to work in the field of anti-doping in the Syrian Arab Republic.
